I created a video of my walking tour of the latest stages of the Little Caesars Arena (as of 7/28).
Two things that really stuck out to me:
1600 tvs, and the biggest scoreboard in the world (5,100 sq ft)!
This is BIG.
You’ll see some parts are “more finished” than others, and the scenes that seem “a little behind” are the Piston’s area/lockeroom. Piston’s construction is about a month behind the opening dates in September 2017, but so Piston’s construction will be done in October.
Thank you to The District Detroit, and City of Detroit, Entertainment Commission for the views!
I got to keep my jacket and hat too, I was real life geeked lol.
View the video below, and more from the downtown paige cominggggg 🙂
UPDATED 9/5: RIBBON CUTTING
I attended the Ribbon Cutting of the Little Caesars Arena, and this is the inside!
It was intimate and yet intimidating.
Feeling close/intimate to the stage, yet just intimidated by the massive scoreboard lol and bowl etc.
This is more than any ol’ other arena,
but a reallllll World-Class entertainment venue!
Michigan-made and Detroit built.
61% Detroit Residents put in more than 600,000 hours! The most hours worked on a project in over 40 years.
You gottttta get in while they’re doing free tours this week, or hope you get tickets to see the space yourself.
