I’ve been on a wellness journey for 10 years.

I was overweight my entire childhood and

When I got to college I took weight loss more seriously.

It took me 4 years to lose 80 pounds.

Why?

I took my time.

I enjoyed college.

Gym access got hard as I moved further off-campus.

I spent a month in Europe.

I earned University Honors, so I was getting my work done too.

Adding my weight loss to my list of senior year accomplishments

Felt great.

Since then I kept trying other health diets to maintain my results.

One time, I juiced 3 times a day, for 30 days.

My skin was glowingggg ✨✨

My short term memory was sharp— I could easily recall things.

And I never felt bloated

I remember missing the action of chewing too.

So I started chewing gum lol.

I wouldn’t juice to that extreme again tho because it’s just not manageable long-term

but I definitely added juicing to my wellthy lifestyle moving forward.

Cleaning the juicer so often got annoying too, can you imagine?

And bathroom trips were different, not uncomfortable lol— just different.

I tried different juice combinations so I didn’t get bored and realized

The most simple combinations were the best.

Below are a few of my fave juice combinations:

  1. Kale, Celery, Spinach, Cucumber, Pineapple, Ginger, Lemon

  2. Beet, Carrot, Pear, Pineapple, Orange, Lemon, Ginger

  3. Carrot, Orange, Turmeric, Celery, Ginger, Granny Smith

I work near there, downtown Detroit, and go like some of ya’ll treat Starbucks

What’s the difference between juicing and blending?

Juicing removes the fiber/ skin of produce, leaving only the juices— which also get into your bloodstream faster and digest easier.

Blending contains everything, and sometimes fiber can be a lot to break down.

I don’t think one is better than the other.

It’s all about self preference, health goals, and what your body needs.

Juicing is definitely worth exploring if you have not.
