I Juiced for 30 Days—Here’s What Happened (And What I’d Never Do Again!)

I’ve been on a wellness journey for over 10 years. I was overweight my entire childhood, but when I got to college, I decided to take weight loss more seriously. It took me four years to lose 81 pounds—why? Because I took my time. I enjoyed #collegelife, gym access was far as I moved further off-campus, I spent a month in Europe, and still managed to graduate with University Honors. Adding my 81-pound weight loss to my list of senior-year accomplishments felt incredible.

Since then, I’ve continued exploring different health routines to maintain and improve my results. One of my biggest experiments? A 30-day juice fast—three juices a day for an entire month. I was curious about the benefits of juicing and wanted to experience them firsthand.

The 30-Day Juice Fast: My Experience

Juicing was a learning experience for sure! Let’s be real—cleaning the juicer constantly got annoying. Cutting up all that fruit and veggies? Not my favorite task. And bathroom trips? Let’s just say, different. The biggest challenge, though, was saying no to social meals with friends. But I was on a mission!

To keep things interesting, I experimented with different juice combinations and quickly realized that the simplest recipes were the best.

The Results: What Changed After 30 Days

Glowing skin – My complexion was noticeably clearer and more radiant.
🧠 Sharper memory – I could recall things instantly. You know when you walk into a room and forget what you were about to do? That never happened. Conversations flowed better too—I always remembered what we were talking about, even after interruptions.
😌 No bloating – My stomach felt light and comfortable every day.
😆 I missed chewing – So much that I started chewing gum just for the feeling of it!

Would I juice that intensely again? Absolutely not—it’s just not sustainable long-term. But I have made juicing a permanent part of my "wellthy" lifestyle.

Juicing vs. Blending: What’s the Difference?

  • Juicing removes the fiber and skin, leaving only the liquid nutrients. This makes it easier to digest and allows the nutrients to enter your bloodstream faster.
  • Blending keeps everything, including fiber, which can be more filling and beneficial for digestion.

So, which one is better?

Neither is better—it all depends on your health goals and personal preference! Juicing is a great way to flood your body with vitamins, while blending keeps you full longer. Both are amazing, especially when sipped through a straw.
